Fedaja Pass - Pellegrino Pass - Rolle Pass
Der Fedaja Pass am Fuss der Marmolada gehört zu den weniger aussichtsreichen Pässen obwohl man sich am Fusse des höchsten Dolomitenberges befindet. Auf der Fahrt dorthin gibt es allerdings einige interessante Aussichtspunkte, wobei der Gran Vernel der Marmolada eindeutig die Schau stiehlt. Auch die Pala Gruppe ist gut zu erreichen, doch zuerst fahren wir nach Osten zum San Pellegrino Pass, wo Monte Pelmo und Civetta die dominierenden Gipfel sind. Zurück geht es über den Valles Pass zum Rolle Pass der im südlichen Ausläufers der Dolomiten am Fuße der Pale di San Martino liegt und vom markanten Cimon della Pala (3185 m) überragt wird. Der Pass ist im Sommer der optimale Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen in der Umgebung der Pale und des Naturparks Paneveggio - Pala di San Martino.
The Fedaja Pass is one of the less panoramical points although one is just below the highest peak of the Dolomites. However on the way to Fedaja Pass we found some interesting vantage points where Gran Vernel definitely steals the show from Marmolada. Another interesting area nearby is the Pala Group but first we went to San Pellegrino Pass where Monte Pelmo and Civetta are the dominiating peaks. On the way back we finally arrived at Rolle Pass which at the southmost part of the Dolomites below the Pale di San Martino Group. Protruded by the significant Cimon della Pala (3185 m) this pass is a good basis for hikes in the Pala area and the Natural Park of Paneveggio - Pale di San Martino.

Der Gran Vernel ist die dominierende Felsgestalt auf dem Weg zum Fedajapass. Der höchste Dolomitengipfel selbst (unteres Panorama) ist aus dieser Perspektive wesentlich weniger interessant. San Pellegrino Pass - Valles Pass

Im Valle de San Pellegrino, kurz vor dem Valles Pass sieht man zum ersten Mal die Gipfel der Pale di San Martino. The first place to spot the summits of Pale di San Martino is in the Valley of San Pellegrino short before the Valles Pass. |
Am Valles Pass (2031 m) lag noch Schnee, bedingt durch die Kaltfont, die zwei Tage zuvor durchgezogen war. Im Hintergrund sieht man Monte Pelmo und Civetta, während rechts die nördlichen Ausläufer der Pale di San Martino hervorragen.
On top of Valles Pass (2031 m) we still found some snow due to the cold front that had passed two days before. In the background Monte Pelmo and Civetta are visible, to the right the northern peaks of the Pale di San Martino Range are coming out from behind.
Rolle Pass - Pala
Rolle Pass (1980 m): Ein besonders mit Neuschnee beeindruckender Blick auf die Pale di San Martino mit ihren höchsten Gipfeln Cima di Focobon (3054 m), Cima dei Burelon (3130 m), Cima della Vezzana (3192 m) und dem Cimon della Pala (3184 m).

Südlich der Passhöhe geht der Blick noch weiter bis zum Sass Maor (2814 m), dem südlichen Ende der Pala.
Beyond the of the top of the pass the view extends until to Sass Maor (2814 m), the southmost end of the Pala Group.
