Silvretta: Silvrettahorn - Schneeglocke
Die Überschreitung von Silvrettahorn (3244 m) und Schneeglocke (3223 m) ist sicherlich eine der schönsten, und mit einer Gesamtgehzeit von 7-8 Stunden auch eine der längeren Touren im Gebiet der Wiesbadener Hütte. Über die Grüne Kuppe und den Ochsentaler Gletscher folgt man zunächst der Aufstiegsroute zum Piz Buin, die auf etwa 2900 m in Richtung Eckhornlücke verlassen wird. Immer am Grat entlang überschreitet man nun zuerst das Silvrettahorn und danach die Schneeglocke, bevor man über den Klostertaler Gletscher und das Klostertal zum Silvretta See und der Bieler Höhe zurückkehrt.
The traverse of Silvrettahorn (3244 m) and Schneeglocke (3223 m) is definitely one of the finest and also one of the longer (duration 7- 8 hours) glacier tours in the area around the Wiesbadener Hut. Just behind a little hill called 'Grüne Kuppe' weentered the Ochsentaler Glacier and followed it up to an altitude of 2900 m where we left the ascent route to Piz Buin in direction to the Eckhorn Gap. Always on top of the ridge we then traversed Silvrettahorn and Schneeglocke and descended through the Klostertal Valley back to Bieler Höhe.

Noch finden wir Glockenblumen am Wegrand. Ein kleiner See nach der Grünen Kuppe ist auch gleichzeitig der Anseilplatz.
Still there are bellflowers along the way. A little lake after 'Grüne Kuppe' was the place to rope up.
Danach geht es über den Ochsentaler Gletscher auf den Sattel rechts der Bildmitte und anschliessend über die Eckhornlücke und den Grat auf das Silvrettahorn.
After that we crossed the Ochsentaler Glacier up to the saddle (right) and continued to the summit of Silvrettahornvia the 'Eckhorn' Gap and the following ridge.
Von der Eckhornlücke (3040 m) hat man einen schönen Blick auf die Pyramide des Piz Linard, den mit 3410 m höchsten Gipfel der Silvretta.

Knoten 3190 ist eine Graterhebung auf der Überschreitung zur Schneeglocke. Im Hintergrund Seehorn und Litzner.

Schneeglocke von der Bieler Höhe

Die Bieler Höhe, ist der zentrale Ausgangspunkt für Touren in der Silvretta Gruppe. Die Schneeglocke kann auch als Tagestour von der Bieler Höhe bestiegen werden. Im Frühjahr lag hier allerdings noch reichlich Schnee. Bieler Höhe (2071 m) is the central starting point for hikes in the Silvretta Range. Schneeglocke can also be climbed from Bieler Höhe. We did this in spring and found quite a lot of snow. |
Der Aufstieg über den Klostertaler Gletscher war tief verschneit und angenehm zu gehen.
The ascent on the Klostertal Glacier was covered with snow and quite comfortable to walk.
