Furkapass: Muttenhorn

Das Muttenhorn ist ein Aussichtsgipfel der Sonderklasse, etwa 700 m über dem Furkapass gelegen. Bereits bei Tourbeginn auf der Passhöhe zeigen sich die höchsten Gipfel des Berner Oberlandes. Im weiteren Verlauf des Aufstiegs erweitert sich das Panorama von den Walliser Alpen im Westen über den Piz Basodino bis zum Tödi.

Muttenhorn is a first class panorama summit situated about 700 m above the Furka Pass. Starting at the Furka Pass we could already spot the highest peaks of the Bernese Alps. During the ascent the panorama was completed by the Valaisian mountains, Basodino and finally Tödi in eastern direction.
