Bernina: Piz Morteratsch (1983)

Die eindrucksvolle hochalpine Rundtour beginnt in Pontresina und führt durch das Val Roseg zur Tschiervahütte (2583m). Der weitere Aufstieg führt zunächst zur Fuorcla da Boval (3347m) - dem Übergang zur Bovalhütte - und zweigt von dort zum Gipfelgrat des Piz Morteratsch ab. Hier bietet sich eine hervorragende Rundsicht auf die gesamte Berninagruppe und den Biancograt. Zurück zur Fuorcla führt der Abstieg über die Bovalhütte nach Morteratsch und von dort mit der Bahn zurück zum Ausgangspunkt. 

This impressive glacier tour starts at Pontresina from where we walk up the Roseg valley to the Tschierva hut (2583m). The further ascent leads to the 'Fuorcla da Boval' (3347m) - the pass to reach the Boval hut on the opposite side - where the summit ridge of Piz Morteratsch begins. An excellent panorama covers the whole Bernina range and the Bianco ridge. Back to the Fuorcla we are descending via the Boval hut to Morteratsch from where reach our starting point by train.

Der Abstieg führt zur Bovalhütte (2495m). Vor dem Piz Trovat (3146m - links) liegt die Diavolezza - ein beliebter Startpunkt, um die Tour in umgekehrter Richtung durchzuführen. Im Hintergrund Piz d'Arlas (3358 m) und Piz Cambrena (3604 m).
