	Von der Palirihütte folgt die erste alpine Etappe mit den Bergen der Bavellagruppe (Calanca Murata 1407 m). The first alpine part of the hike starts at the Paliri Hut where we entered the Bavella Mountains (Calanca Murata - 1.407 m).
	Auf gut markiertem Weg geht es hinauf zur Bavellascharte (Foce de Bavedda - 1218 m). A well marked path was leading up to the Bavella Gap (Foce de Bavedda - 1.218 m).

	Vom Bavellapass führt der Weg in zwei Varianten zur Asinaohütte. Entweder über die Aiguilles de Bavella oder unsere Variante: westlich um die Aiguilles herum, ein schöner Panoramaweg. Im Tal die westliche Rampe der Bavella Passstrasse, südlich davon die Punta Velaco (1483 m). After the pass there are two possibilities to reach the Asinao Hut. One is to cross the Aiguilles de Bavella or by-passing them on their western side, a nice panorama walk which we preferred. Down in the valley we can see the western part of the Bavella pass road and south of it Punta Velaco (1.483 m).
	Der Weiterweg am nächsten Morgen führte in 1,5 Stunden zum Refuge d´Asinao und danach über den Monte Incudine im Hintergrund. On the following morning it took us about 1.5 hours to get to the Astinao Hut. After this we traversed Monte Incudine, the snow-covered mountain in the background.

	Eine Schlechtwetterfront bei unserer Ankunft in Bastia einige Tage zuvor brachte beträchtlichen Neuschnee bis auf 1000 m. Eine ungewohnte Szenerie am Monte Incudine. Just as we arrived in Bastia a cold front had passed the island and dumped a considerable amount of snow down to about 1.000 m, an unusual scenery at Monte Incudine.

	Das Fundament der abgebrannten Pedinellihütte (1620 m) bot einen ebenen Platz für das Zelt. Der Abstieg vom Monte Incudine im Hintergrund war wegen des weichen Schnees mühsam. Die Baumgrenze liegt hier etwa bei 1700 m. The foundation of the burned down Pedinelli Hut (1.620 m) provided a level place for our tent. The descent from Monte Incudine was quitea strenuous due to the soft snow. The timberline in this area is about 1.700 m.
	Westlich bis nordwestlich des Monte Incudine erhebt sich auf 1600 - 1800 m Höhe das Plateau du Coscione, mit fast 40 qkm das größte Hochplateau Korsikas. Im Hintergrund der Weiterweg der kommenden zwei Tage über den Denkmalsgrat und den Monte Formicola (1981 m). West of Monte Incudine the largest plateau of Corsica with nearly 40 square kilometers is rising up to 1.600 - 1.800 m.
