Die Granitwände des Bergell waren im Rekordsommer 2003 völlig schnee- und eisfrei. Von links nach rechts die Nordwand des Cengalo mit seiner über tausend Meter hohen Kante und rechts anschliessend die Nordostwand des Piz Badile.
 
In the hot summer of 2003 the granite walls of the Bergell Mountains were completely free of snow and ice. From left to right we see the North Face of Cengalo and its famous ridge of more than 1000 m and continuing to the right the North-East Face of Piz Badile.
