Der Normalweg auf die Cima Presanella führt von der Denzahütte südwestwärts zum Passo Cercen (3022m) zuerst auf der Moräne entlang, dann auf den südwestlichen Teil des Presanellagletschers (Spalten und evtl. Blankeis, jedoch relativ flach) und vom Passo Cercen ostwärts hinauf zum Freshfield Sattel (3375m). Von dort über Firn und Blockwerk zum Gipfel. Die Besteigung bietet ausser den genannten Hindernissen keine technischen Schwierigkeiten.

The standard ascent of Cima Presanella leads from the Denza hut up to the Cercen pass (3022m) where we firstly follow the moraine until the  south-western part of the Presanella glacier is entered (crevasses and possibly ice but relatively flat). From the Cercen pass to the east we reach the Frehfield saddle at 3375m. From there across snow and rocks to the summit. The ascent shows no technical problems besides the ones mentioned before.
