Der ungeplante zweite Tag im zentralen Basislager Lager lohnte sich. Die erste Lagernacht brachte zwar Neuschnee, im Tagesverlauf kündigte sich jedoch eine Wetterbesserung an und die höchsten Tien Shan Gipfel wurden frei.

The additional day in the central Base Camp turned out to be a stroke of luck. Although we had got some fresh snow in the first night the weather improved during the next day and highest peaks of the Tian Shan showed up.

Pik Maxima Gorkovo (6050 m), Pik Chapayova (6371 m) und Khan Tengri (6995 - 7010 m). Nach wie vor scheint die exakte Höhe des Khan Tengri wegen der sich verändernden Schneewächte am Gipfel nicht endgültig geklärt zu sein.
