Trekking Tag 1: Leh - Rizong
Der erste Tag des Trekkings beginnt mit einer Fahrt von Leh westwärts in Richtung Lamayuru. Vorbei am Zusammenfluss von Indus und Zanskarfluss besuchen wir zunächst das Gelugpa Kloster Rizong, das in einem felsigen Seitental auf der Nordseite des Indus liegt.
The first day of our trekking starts with a car trip from Leh in western direction. Passing the confluence of Indus and Zanskar river we are visiting Rizong the Gelugpa monastery which is located at the top of a rocky side valley on the northern side of the Indus.
Das Kloster Rizong wurde 1833 von dem sozialen Reformator Lama Tsultim Nyima gegründet, der dort viele Jahre in einer Höhle meditiert hatte.
Rizong Monastery was founded in 1833 by the social reformer Lama Tsultim Nyima who had been meditating there for many years in a cave.
Der 1000-armige Chenresig ist die Meditationsform eines Fastenrituals.
The thousand-armed Chenresig is a form of meditation of a fasting ritual.
